Baby Saad-Fisher is Coming!
Our tiny human arrives in November!
We're so excited (and slightly terrified) to welcome our little one, and we're blown away by how many of you want to help us along the way. You're all amazing!
How You Can Support Us
First things first: your love and kindness mean everything to us! Whether you bring us a joke (for Genesis), a period drama recommendation (for Lyna), a meal, or just your wonderful presence, what matters most is that you're part of our village.
If you're feeling the urge to shower us with baby goods (we see you, and we love you for it), here's the inside scoop on what would make our little family happiest.

Gentle Requests (AKA "Please Save Us From Polyester Prison")
Natural fabrics only, please. Genesis has skin more sensitive than a poet's soul. Cotton, bamboo, wool, linen – these are our friends. Polyester and synthetic blends? Not so much. Our baby's delicate skin will thank you.
Gender neutral is our jam! We're keeping the baby's gender a surprise, so think yellows, greens, turquoise, purples, and sayings like "adorable tiny human" rather than "future manosphere guru."
Used is beautiful! Babies grow fast, so your gently loved items are perfect. Our friends and family have already re-gifted dozens of items. We ask that you check the registry first to see what we need.
Small space, big love! Our apartment is cozy, and it’s already full of records, zombie books, and a Ninja Creami! We're trying to avoid items that'll end up in a landfill after a couple of uses. Think quality over quantity, things that grow with the baby, or items that can live many lives.
The meal train
When we’re tired, Genesis leans on ramen and chili, Lyna leans on cereal and yogurt bowls. Want to save us from ourselves? Here comes the Meal Train.
What's a Meal Train? It's a food delivery service run by our community. Friends and family can sign up to bring or send us meals during those first few weeks when we'll be operating on approximately 37 minutes of sleep.
How it works:
Visit our Meal Train page (link below)
Pick a date that works for you
Choose to cook something, order delivery, or bring groceries
Show up and be our hero!
What we love: Comfort food, quick reheating, anything that doesn't require us to think too hard. Allergy alert: Genesis can have butter, but is very allergic to other cow’s milk products. She’s good with goat/sheep dairy, though.

Pro tips
Drop a text if you’re sending something so we can be extra ready to receive it!
Consolidate items/deliveries whenever possible.
The baby might join us a couple of weeks early, so please try to get the items to us by the end of October.
Visits
In the first few weeks, we’ll be getting the hang of things. After that, you can text us to coordinate short visits. Please keep in mind:
Since babies don’t start vaccinations until the 3rd month, we’ll ask you to use hand sanitizer. If you want to hold the baby, you’ll need to have your DTAP vaccine.
Tiredness could make us flighty, so please don’t be offended if we need to reschedule.
Thank you for being a part of our community.
This little person is going to be so lucky to be surrounded by people like you. ~L + G
